About The Designer

An aspiring actress, Twitter junkie, HGTV addict, and self-proclaimed computer geek, Myshell Tabu is the brains and soul behind Suuru.  Fueled by a lifelong love of design and a need to exert some creative energy, her graphic design business was launched in 2008 (as Supa Sista Designs) after leaving the corporate world to stay at home with her daughter.

Myshell has a professional background in various areas of marketing and publicity, including four years of design, booking support and grant support for Lula Washington Dance Theatre.  Mostly though, she just enjoys hanging out with her family, wearing t-shirts and flip-flops, and tinkering around on her computer.

On a more personal note, Myshell is married, has two awesome daughters and lives in Cali.

Suuru is an organic design company. No, that doesn’t mean that it does not contain preservatives, silly. It means that we’re flexible and we collaborate. We don’t just work with other design professionals, we also take your thoughts and opinions into consideration and incorporate them into your project as much as possible. Our style is your style.
